Digital files are thoroughly previewed to assure all elements; type, fonts, logos, images, photos, and resolution are correct to produce the highest quality print outcome.
After the preview of the prepared digital art files, we provide a hard copy proof. The hard copy proof is used to insure the color, fit, look, and feel of the design and that the desired message are being delivered. The color proof, upon approval, is used at press to color match with the printed sheet.
Many commercial print projects also require a low resolution mock up. The mock up is a 1 to 1 rendering of the finished size. It shows scoring and folding positions. If there are any die-cutting, collating, stitching, or gluing requirements, the mock up shows the productions aspects of these steps as well.
Press checks are routinely scheduled and attended. So many variables effect ink color. Press checks offer an in-process assurance, that color criteria is being met. Customers are always welcomed to assist in this process. Generally speaking, an hour notice is given for scheduling press checks.
